These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Illawarra Exterior Care Pty Ltd trading as Illawarra Exterior Care (we, us, our). By booking, accepting a quote, or allowing work to commence, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide exterior cleaning services including (but not limited to) high pressure cleaning, soft washing, residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, roof washing, solar panel cleaning, concrete and retaining wall cleaning, and concrete sealing.
2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes may be provided via phone, message, email, online enquiry, or on-site inspection.

Quotes are based on the information available at the time, including photos supplied and access conditions.

If site conditions differ materially from what was described (for example, heavier staining, restricted access, hazards, additional areas), we may revise the price before proceeding.

Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 14 days.
3. Booking and scheduling

Booking dates and times are estimates. We will aim to arrive within the agreed time window.

Weather, safety concerns, equipment issues, or access restrictions may require rescheduling.

We may reschedule where conditions are unsafe or likely to affect results. We will communicate as early as possible.
4. Access requirements
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the areas being cleaned, including:

Clear access to work areas (move vehicles, furniture, pot plants, fragile items where possible).

Access to a working outdoor water supply unless otherwise agreed.

Any access instructions, gate codes, pets on site, or hazards disclosed before arrival.
If we cannot access the required areas, we may need to reschedule and a call-out fee may apply.
5. Safety and site conditions

You must disclose known hazards prior to work commencing, including unstable surfaces, asbestos risk, electrical hazards, fragile roofing, or aggressive animals.

We may refuse to proceed if we consider the site unsafe.

We will take reasonable precautions, however you acknowledge exterior cleaning work involves water, chemicals, ladders and slippery surfaces.
6. Results and expectations

Exterior cleaning outcomes depend on surface condition, age, previous coatings, and the nature of staining.

Some staining may be permanent or may not be fully removable (for example, oxidisation, deep rust bleed, old etching, sun damage).

We will provide clear expectations before work begins.

“Satisfaction guaranteed” means we will address reasonable concerns related to workmanship where raised within the timeframe in clause 7, but it does not guarantee complete removal of all stains.
7. Claims and rectification

If you are not satisfied, you must notify us within 48 hours of job completion with photos where possible.

We may offer a return visit to rectify issues that are caused by our workmanship, at our discretion.

This does not apply where results are limited by pre-existing damage, permanent staining, surface deterioration, or factors outside our control.
8. Pre-existing damage and liability

Many exterior surfaces have pre-existing wear. High pressure cleaning and chemical treatments can reveal underlying issues (for example, loose paint, flaking render, cracked grout, damaged seals, weak mortar).

You accept that we are not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration that becomes visible during or after cleaning.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or the cost of resupplying the service.
9. Roof washing and working at heights

Roof washing involves additional risks. You must disclose fragile tiles, leaks, prior repairs, solar wiring issues, or any known roof damage.

We may refuse roof work if conditions are unsafe.

You accept that water can enter existing gaps or faults in roofing or seals where pre-existing issues exist.
10. Solar panel cleaning

Cleaning is performed using methods intended to be surface-safe, however we are not responsible for pre-existing faults, electrical issues, or performance changes caused by system condition, wiring, or installation issues.

You must disclose any known faults prior to work.
11. Concrete sealing

Sealing results depend on surface porosity, moisture levels, previous coatings, and weather conditions.

We may postpone sealing if conditions are unsuitable.

You must allow appropriate curing time and follow any aftercare instructions provided.
12. Customer responsibilities after service

Some surfaces may remain slippery while drying. You agree to keep people and pets away from wet areas until fully dry.

You agree to follow any aftercare or curing advice provided (especially for sealed surfaces).
13. Cancellations and fees

Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.

Late cancellations, no-shows, or lack of access may incur a call-out fee to cover time and travel.
14. Payment terms

Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept payment methods as advised at time of booking.

Overdue invoices may incur reasonable recovery costs.
15. Photos and marketing

We may take before and after photos for quality records.

We may use de-identified photos for marketing (website, social media, Google Business Profile) unless you request in writing that we do not.
16. Privacy

17. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
